Reduce. Reuse.
Re-Shred.
Each winter snowfall is becoming less consistent and it’s on all of us to do everything we can to ensure the health of our mountains and climate. Our goal is to not only protect the environment and public lands, but to connect people – whether it be the disadvantaged, at-risk youth or the next generation – to these places, instilling a love for the outdoors, and inspiring them to work and advocate for wild places, and continuing that cycle forward. Long live winter.
In addition to our 1% for the Planet membership, we are constantly working to reduce the footprint of our products and practices. Here are some of the steps we're taking to make our goggles more eco-friendly.
In our commitment to reduce the footprint of every product we make, Zeal Optics goggle frames are made from 100% recycled TPU and PC/ABS and our straps and bags contain a minimum of 70% recycled PET.
Recycled PET Goggle Straps
Zeal’s straps are made from a minimum of 70% recycled PET, which is commonly sourced from recycled water bottles..
Recycled TPU & PC/ABS Goggle Frames
The softer portions of our goggle frames are made from 100% recycled TPU, a common ingredient in footwear. The harder materials in our Rail Lock System frames are constructed from 100% recycled PC/ ABS, which is commonly used in electronics.
FSC-Certified + Soy Ink
Our catalogs and other printed materials are made from FSC-Certified paper, ensuring that these materials come from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social and economic benefits. All of our printing uses soy-based ink, which is easier on the environment, degrading four times faster than petroleum-based inks and is easier to remove from recycled paper.
