Born and raised in Aspen, CO, Katrina has been skiing since she could walk. From an early age, through camping, skiing, mountain biking, climbing, and spending time in the outdoors, she was instilled with a deep rooted love for the environment. She ski raced up until her mother moved her and her brother to Chamonix, France for a year where they both got into big mountain/backcountry skiing. It was there that they got their first taste of big lines and avalanche terrain.

After graduating from Aspen High School, she went back East to play college hockey. She received a degree in Environmental Studies from St. Lawrence University in Upstate New York. Returning home, she started competing in the big mountain extreme skiing competitions, picked up her first sponsors, and became immersed in the ski community. After five years of competing and many top finishes, she now focuses her energy on shooting photos/film, telling stories of adventure, and inspiring people to live their dreams.
